Ripping of iPad's guts begin! + more info about iPad!

Well, it was bound to happen. Even while some hardy Singaporeans have barely reached home with their new iPads, with some ready to wake up in a few hours to hike to a nearby retail shop to queue up / praying their iPad is delivered quickly, ifixit has already begun to take apart the new iPad, check it out here!

Here are also some of the new components inside the new iPad confirmed by ifixit teardown.
  • Texas Instruments CD3240 driver device
  • Broadcom BCM4330 802.11a/b/g/n MAC/Baseband/Radio with Integrated Bluetooth 4.0+HS and FM Transceiver
  • Epcos B4064 SAW filters
  • Fairchild FDMC 6683
  • Displays made by Samsung confirmed

Also, reports are coming in that the new iPad takes much longer to charge, though its to be expected considering that Apple's solution to the battery draining new features was to up the battery capacity. Overnight charging anyone?

Lastly, looks like we will hopefully have a jailbreak coming up for the new iPad soon, since I0n1c has successfully done a jailbreak for 5.1 on iPad 2. Read all about it here!
